American Society of Mechanical Engineers – Additive Manufacturing

Assignment: Cover illustration for the lead article about additive manufacturing (3D printing)

Challenge: Create a cover illustration that vividly catches the excitement of 3D printing a complex automotive part.

Results: The final art gave us an unconventional angle to view the process of additive manufacturing and really set the tone with bright dynamic sparks. Background graphics helped allude to the thought process and structural considerations inherent to the engineering process.
